Falling From the Skies is written about my grandparents who met during World War II. My grandfather was the co-pilot of a B-17 plane that was shot down over Germany and crashed in Switzerland. They landed and were immediately imprisoned. He tried escaping, but broke his ankle in the process. My grandmother eventually met him and nursed him back to health. He brought her back to the States, married her right after the war, and they started a family of three daughters. The rest is history, like this song. This is my most orchestral song and the one I love playing the most.
